(((listen))) Thursday Morning:

WEDNESDAY EVENING: We are still travelling on the bus, almost an hour or two away from the border of Kenya. border The journey is quite long and our South African Baltong and ‘Padkos’ is keeping us going.

Our host in Nairobi is keeping in constant contact with us and waiting for us eagerly.

We passed the great Mount Kilamanjaro, climbing up into the heavens and kissing the clouds. kilamanjero Once again we were reminded of the greatness of Allah SWT. Just as the little pebbles have made these great mountains, so is our little sins that we commit. Watching all of this, really brings us closer to nature. We should inculcate within us ‘Nature-Loving’.

THURSDAY MORNING: Alhamdulillah, last night we reached Nairobi downtown at about 22:30. The bus trip was 17 hours long.

Our host in Nairobi is the Hatiani family. Today we plan to rest in Nairobi, visiting places of interest.

    Asalaamu Alaikum…
I am following your wonderful journey all the way from Regina ,Canada.
I think this is the way Allah had intended people to experience the “whole experience” of Haj ,so that when you reach Makkah and Medina it will mean so much more to you.
We were fortunate to fly directly from Jhb into Medina last year to perform our Haj and ALHAMDULLILAH we had experienced the most wonderful Haj ever with absolutely zero hassles.
I am thankful to Allah for giving us this opportunity. Sadly though so many people that were with us ,complained about so many things…even though what they had was so much better then most of the millions of Hajis with us . South Africans have become accustomed to the best of everything because they can pay for it…Life teaches us, that sometimes things don’t always work out the way we want it to…and that’s what we have to learn as a people… There were some people with us in Azizia that cried and complained bec the rooms that were allocated to them “were not even suitable for their servants”.. That made me SO SAD, and I wish, that those people could read your blog and learn just a little something from it…the true meaning of going for Haj.
What you are doing is difficult, but Allah will protect and guide you and I make dua that the rest of your journey is comfotable and safe, Inshallah.

Inshallah, when you see the Kaaba, the tears of joy that will gush down your cheeks will feel so much sweeter when it touches the tip of your tongue.
    Was Salaam
