Day Thirteen!
(((listen))) THURSDAY EVENING:
THURSDAY EVENING: As we travel along, our thirst for seeing the green Dome of the Prophet Sallallahu Alyhi Wa Sallam’s Masjid; and the Holy Ka’aba
is growing even more.
Alhamdulillah, all the brothers are doing very well. (Mentally; Bodily and Spiritually). The fact that we have a good appetite and healthy moving bowels is indication enough of our good health, Alhamdulillah.
At the moment we are in Nairobi at our host’s residence, the Hatiani family. As we have noted, today is our resting day. ![]()
A good benefit of using public transport is that one is able to interact with the local people. The amazing thing is that since our attire and physical out-look is Islamic, we often get people coming up to us and asking us about our religion etc.
Whenever the transport stops and it is Salaah time; they actually come up to us and offer us ablution and Salaah arrangements. SUBHAANALLAH!!!
We have also exchanged many experiences with our co-travellers, (challenges that we face in both, our countries… and so on…)
With regards to Language, Alhamdulillah our Arabic skills have helped us in many places to communicate with the locals.
We have also tested the local fruits and things, such as Taangu; Mishkaaki
and the local Honey that is squeezed out right in front of us… etc. ![]()
Tonight, we will be meeting with our local friends Insha Allah! Ml Ahmad Alawy and others.
Tomorrow, early in the morning we will be continuing with our journey from Nairobi towards Khartoum in Sudan. Insha Allah!

Assalamu alaykum warahmatullah
It will be a good idea if the backpaker brothers group publish a booklet on
their travel to the Haramain. What to do and what to avoid. All the pros and cons of travelling plus visas, ducumentation, costs etc.

May Allah ta-ala accepts your endeavor and take you to Madinah Tayyiba with immense ecstasy and at the climax of love for Rasulullah sallahu alayhi wasallam, in spiritually exalted condition and compensate you all with Haj-e-Mabroor. Please do remember me on the visit of Rawdah-e-Aqdas and in your duas at special moments.

Assalamualaikum Dear Ulema and Huffaaz,
From the community of Benoni, I would like to thank you for sharing your experiences with us and we make Dua that Allah (S.W.T) makes your journey as easy as possible and accepts all your efforts and Dua’s. May he grant you Haj-Mabroor and Haj-Maqbool!
Just reading about your experiences brings tears of joy to my eyes and I wish that I could have joined you on this monumental journey. I urge you to please record as many aspects of your journey as possible (legal as well as advices), as I’m sure many more like myself will Insha-Allah try and follow in your foot-steps. Please make Dua that Allah (S.W.T.) accept our Niyyah and makes it easy for us to achieve this dream.
A humble request on behalf of the people of Benoni: Please Insha-Allah, convey our Salaams at the Raudah-Mubarak and try and remember us in your Dua’s!
